MONO painting (green rose)

Tim Bohlender’s series of “MONO paintings” in 40 x 30 cm format all show the word MONO. The works in this series depict the “M” as axially symmetrical, the “N” as point-symmetrical and the “O’s” as rotationally symmetrical. In superimpositions, color fields and abstractions, the opposing symmetry and asymmetry of the typeface are negotiated and brought into harmony.
