The starting point of the work is the question of how serious reporting works and the rules of the game. How can these be turned on their head and what new image content is generated – for example through a multi-perspective image structure? Unlike the usual reporting from reputable sources, which aims to suggest as objective an impression as possible, Kretschmer and Breitkopf are concerned with a subjectivization that incorporates the viewer’s perspective, even making it the core theme.
With all possible interpretations of the content, the two artists are not concerned with alternative points of view, but with countless variations with a single origin.
What role does the position of the viewer play in today’s media consumption?
