A clay sculpture “Nabelberg” was converted into a point cloud in a robotics institute, which provides the mathematical prerequisite for 3D printing. The print run (20 pieces) was created in black and white plastic (first liquid, then solid). The printing process creates new surface structures that are reminiscent of the topography of a landscape, which, as in my work Bin ich wirklich der Nabel der Welt? reminds us of the relationship between our own bodies and the landscape/world.
